MUSHERS’ DINNER
Center Sandwich is a small town with few services. There
is one eating establishment (The Corner House Inn) and a corner grocery. On
Friday, February 16, 2001 the Corner House is offering a mushers’ dinner from
5:00 to 7:00 PM. NO LATE ARRIVALS! They can not serve after 5:30pm and
guarantee that we will be finished in time for the mandatory mushers’ meeting. You
must make your reservations and send payment with your entry form by 02/14.
Sign up early and arrive early to give yourself ample time to enjoy the
lovely setting. Pick up your pre paid tickets at the door.

The Sandwich PTO is hosting a family dinner at the
Sandwich Central School beginning at 5:00 PM. No reservation required, but please indicate on your entry
form the number of adults and number of children. $6.95 for adults, $3.50 for children under 12
AWARDS BREAKFAST & CEREMONY
The Corner House Inn will host the Sunday morning awards
breakfast February 18th at the Sandwich Central School. Breakfast will be
served at 9am with the awards ceremony to follow at approximately 10:30am. You must make your reservations and
send payment with your entry form by 02/14. This will be $8.00 per person. Pick up pre paid tickets at the
door.
ACCOMMODATIONS
Hotels in the area cater to snowmobiles and a major ski
industry. They are small and heavily booked, so make your reservations
early. Please confirm the price with
the establishment at the time you make your reservations.

ADOPT-A-MUSHER PROGRAM
Sandwich residents have generously
volunteered to open their homes and are willing to “adopt” a musher for the
weekend. There will be a limited number of homes available with the exact count
not known until late January. This program has proven to be very successful and
relies on mushers being on their best behavior so that it may continue. Homes will
be assigned on a first come, first served basis. YOU MUST CHECK THE
APPROPRIATE BOX ON YOUR ENTRY FORM AND GET IT TO THE RACE SECRETARY NO LATER
THAN FEBRUARY 14, 2001. If you have taken part in this program in
previous years and have , or will be, making arrangements to stay with the same
family, please indicate this on your entry form.
