2000-2001 Races

 

Dear Members, Friends and fellow Dogsled enthusiasts,

 

It is that time of year again…it’s time to start planning for the year 2001 Sandwich Notch Cross Country Dogsled Races! The sled dog trainers and the race organizers are hard at work preparing for the races. We need your help to put these races together and that is why I am writing this letter. All awards for these races are donated, so please consider supporting a trophy or donating a prize to the Sandwich Notch Dogsled Races. This year we will be offering trophies and prizes for the 30 mile race, 60 mile race, and skijoring race.

 

In past years the following categories were awarded:

 

            Sportsmanship Award

            1-3 finishing female musher

            Highest placing registered purebred team with the most number of obedience titles

            Serendipity Award

            1-5 highest placing pure bred teams

            1-5 highest placing Siberian Husky teams

            Highest placing rookie driver

            Highest placing YSHC member

            Highest placing NH musher

            Highest placing ME musher

            Highest placing MA musher

            Finishing team with the most AKC champions

            Most improved musher

            Oldest musher

            Youngest musher

            Last place finisher

            Team traveling the greatest distance to get to Sandwich
